Boca Tango

BocaTango is located in La Boca, one of the most photographed neighborhoods in Buenos Aires. Located next to the Boca Juniors Stadium, BocaTango offers typical countryside meals for dinner and follows it up with a great show. A unique feature of BocaTango is that the show is two parts: half play, half tango show. It begins with the play, a short recreation of immigrant life in the conventillos (multi-family apartments), which have made La Boca vibrant and famous. After the play, a spectacular tango show with a cast of thirty artists takes to the stage. BocaTango is also open during the day, beginning at 11am. You could start at the Vitreaux Café, see an exhibit on the history of tango, and have a delicious lunch.  Even if you are going to the evening show, arrive early and enjoy the vibrant colors and ambience of La Boca. A word of caution: La Boca can be dangerous at night, especially away from the main tourist drag, so don’t think you are going to take a bus or walk. Spring for a cab to make sure your night ends as well as it began.
