The venue was great - very intimate, being held at a place with tables right at the stage. The orchestra on the balcony was excellent and the show so enjoyable!!
The dinner was disappointing, but the service was very good.
We enjoyed the tango lesson before dinner - the teacher was very profesional.

The show was great. Particularly enjoyed the history of tango. The setting was much more intimate than the large scale productions which gave us a ring side seat and better ability to see the intricate footwork. The dinner was mediocre. But overall a great experience.

We booked a night with Complejo Tango from our B&B because we heard it wasn't such a tourist trap as some of the larger productions are. We were initially hesitant because of the price, but this one was cheaper than the others and promised a more personal performance (plus a free lesson). Once the night was over we were happy we spent the money.

As the description mentions, they pick you up and drop you off, give you a 1 hour tango lesson, then a decent dinner with wine, and sit you up at a table right in front of the stage. The show consists of a live band playing the tango music, while 3 couples perform the show. There are some singers mixed in between as well. They were all excellent! Very professional. Towards the end the performers come onto the floor and encourage you to dance with them briefly (but don't worry, it's more slow dancing than tango and you can easily say no, but why would you?)

Anyways, that show was one of the highlights of our week long vacation in B.A. Highly recommend.
