The El Viejo Almacen is part of the history of Buenos Aires, and is one of its oldest and most famous tango shows. I was worried before I attended it that it might be tacky or toursity as a result, but I was pleasantly surprised.
The dinner-show package costs 300 pesos per person and includes free transfers to and from the show (even from the Palermo district). Following a nice meal in the restaurant opposite you are taken to the building where the show is staged. We were sat upstairs with a great view from the balcony. The price includes as much free drink as you can consume during the show, including champagne, and the waitress was very attentive.
The show itself lasts 2 hours and consists of dance acts, singing acts and musician acts. I loved every minute of it, and my face was set to perma-grin throughout! Of the two shows I saw during my time in Buenos Aires, this one was far superior and good value for money.
I cannot recommend it enough!
