I am a tango and music lover from California and have never seen a place like this. The food and service was just fine, but was amazed by the show and mostly the interior design and the architecture of this unique place. I’m an interior designer and have to congratulate the architects who designed this place; I believe the firm name is ge-architecture but not sure. Saw this show January 2010 and it was absolutely fabulous in every way but the food was awful. I sent my tough as a boot inedible steak back and they replaced it with another one just as tough. They did all of this very politely but I ended up with no dinner.

We thought the show was very good but the male singer didn’t appeal to us. The dancers were great. Food was good, nothing special but what we expected for this type of evening.

In a remodeled and glamorized historic building in Abasto, the busloads of tourists are herded in and out twice a night just like in Las Vegas.

First you can have your picture taken with costumed dancers and then you are shown to your table where you order everything at once so you will be served before the show starts. But during the show, you can purchase photos, buy videos and souvenirs from passing sales people. The check is presented rapidly, and out you go while the room is prepared for the next 250 showgoers.

It is all very slick and commercial, the food is ok, and there’s nothing not to like. Good live orchestra, great costumes, well-rehearsed singers and young stage dancers, with the usual numbers in a brothel, a comic milonga, all couples dancing the finale to La Cumparsita. It’s the usual tango show formula but well-done.

Had concerns regarding the value we were getting with this show. However, everything from the prompt private car pickup to the seating to the excellent dinner to the fantastic tango show were all way above expectations. Truly professional in every way. One can see tango anywhere but this is special!
